I was flipping through the channels a couple of weeks ago and stumbled across HSN, the Home Shopping Network. Ordinarily I would have zoomed past with a dismissive thought for the people who watch and
buy from this market.
But this time, I'm ashamed to admit, they hooked me before my thumb could depress the Channel Up button. They were cutting glass. I cut glass. They were doing it with ease. I sometimes battle the glass. The tool they were using must be some sort of miracle tool.
I have trained myself not to buy on impulse. It wasn't easy, but before any purchase is made I step back and really consider my future needs for the product. I think I considered this tool for a week before finding it online to place an order.
The HSN page for the
Multi Tool Tile/Glass Cutter and Rotary Cutter featured product reviews. They were mostly bad reviews. But these people wanted a tile cutter. I did not. One reviewer said the tool cut glass exactly as promised. That's what I wanted to read. You see, this tool solves a problem I've managed to avoid until my current project. Cutting circles in glass is not as easy as Saturday morning cartoons would have you believe. This amazing tool can be adjusted to work like a compass. Brilliant!
The tool arrived at work this week, and today I hope to take it for an initial try. I'll add another post once I've taken it for a spin.
