2008 has been a great year. Jon and I took mom to Ireland and had an absolutely wonderful time. We hope to return in 2009, but that remains to be seen. I also had an art show this year of my stained glass and carving. That was received well enough to encourage me to rent studio space and accept a commission to do a large window.

As great as all those things are, selling my first short story to an actual established literary anthology was probably the hands-down winner. It won't be published until September, and a lot can happen between now and then, but I have an acceptance letter and I'm holding on to that!
