New Window in the Works

About a year ago, my partner at Monkey Face Studio and I had an art show at the library in Zanesville. In addition to the experience of having a bunch of strangers see and say nice things about my work, two really cool things came out of the affair: I received two commissions for stained glass windows.

The first window I've already completed and seen installed. I wrote about it in another post and won't go over all that again.

The second window is for the minister of my church. I'm doing this one pretty much gratis, but I'm excited nonetheless. This piece will hang in his office but will be viewable from the church parking lot. Since the stained glass windows in this building are what originally got me interested in learning the craft in the first place, it's a hell of an honor to know I'm making something that will become a part of all that.

And it's a little daunting.

I sent Rev. Ray a design this morning for his consideration. I stressed to him that it is a "first" design, not necessarily his only choice. I anxiously await his thoughts.
